The JMK Group is thrilled to announce that planning permission has been granted for a new 163-bedroom hotel in the heart of Galway City Centre. This exciting development marks the group’s first property along the iconic Wild Atlantic Way and represents a significant expansion of its Irish portfolio.

With successful operations already established in London, Dublin, Cork, and Waterford—and a highly anticipated opening in Belfast slated for early 2026—JMK continues to strengthen its presence across key urban and cultural destinations. JMK will also open Europe’s first Hilton Home2Suites in Dublin City Centre in early 2026, marking a significant milestone for both the brand and the company.  

Construction Timeline and Community Impact
Work on the Galway site is scheduled to commence before the end of the year 2025, with the hotel expected to open its doors in 2027. JMK is committed to revitalising the area, creating new employment opportunities, and contributing to Galway’s dynamic tourism and hospitality scene.

The new hotel will be designed with sustainability in mind, targeting BREEAM Excellent and LEED Gold certifications to ensure environmentally responsible operations and long-term energy efficiency.

The hotel in central Hammersmith is positioned between Cambridge Grove and King Street, with the best that Hammersmith has to offer on the doorstep.  There are 41 stylish bedrooms, with a choice of double, triple and superior bedrooms.  Each bedroom offers the guest a relaxing stay with crisp white linen on the bed, choice of pillows, flat screen tv’s, workspace, laptop safe, wardrobe and air-conditioning.  The en-suite bathrooms include a rainfall shower, sustainable toiletries and towels. 

The hotel offers guests a light touch service, to allow guests to maximise their stay in Hammersmith and surrounding areas.

Within a 5 minutes’ walk of the hotel is the Lyric Hammersmith, Eventim Apollo, or a stroll along the River Thames to Hammersmith Bridge to visit many local pubs and restaurants.  Alternatively travel to central London via Hammersmith station under 25 minutes with a further choice of shops, theatre and museums.
