“Great find!”

Being honest I was a bit iffy when booking this hotel. Given that it’s official rating seems to be 2-star, and it’s very competitively priced, I was worried this might be reflected in standards of cleanliness, service etc., but booked it anyway on the basis of the previous reviews. The reviews were accurate and the rating does it no justice whatsoever! The hotel, room and bathroom were all spotless. It was a lovely location, overlooking a very quiet garden square, and very centrally located in terms of tube access. Bayswater (District & Circle) is a 3 or 4 minute stroll, while Queenswater (Central Line) is just a couple of minutes further, and Paddington is maximum a 15 minute walk. We got a lovely welcome from Rosanne (sorry if this is not correct spelling) who could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Reception is staffed until 5pm daily. After 5pm you book in or collect your keys at the next door sister hotel, the Phoenix Hotel. Really amazing value for London. Am already recommending to family & friends! Only caveat: there is no lift, with rooms on first to fourth floors.

“Good hotel - excellent location for Proms in the Park”

Excellent and well located hotel. The room was modern, tidy and clean with modern bathroom. Finding the hotel was quite difficult as it is just a doorway in-between shops so get the hotel to tell you which shop it is next to. Great location for Hyde Park festivals like Proms in the Park.

“Good value for money”

This hotel is in an excellent location you have to keep an eye out for the entrance door, yes as mentioned before the stairs are narrow and steep, but the hotel is clean tidy modern very nice shower, comfy bed, no noise and was a very reasonable price and the staff are very helpful and polite.
If you are looking for a short stay at a good price and excellent location then this is the one for you.
